Fall Colors Just Around The Corner

Over the next month, trees across the state will explode with brilliant fall colors.  There are several variables which will determine how nicely mother nature paints the state.  We need cool nights and warm days along with some rainfall.  Check out the link below for fall foliage updates throughout the season.

Fall foliage update

Remember, we want to see your fall pictures.  All you have to do is send them to photo@katv.com.  Send your best one or two and make the file sizes small. Also, below is a video I put together with the best fall foliage pictures of 2006.   If we get a bunch of good ones this year, I may put together a new video.

has anyone looked at the farmers almanac for this upcoming Winter? Just curious how it compares to Joe B's?

Where is our rain Todd? Are we ever gonna have a Saturday soaker again? The fall colors won't come through without some rain? I just really want some rain. It's not fall without it.

That is what I am saying, bring on some rain. Also you may want to update everyone again on the moderate to severe drought we are having and high wildfire danger. Here is a interesting link on that: http://www.srh.noaa.gov/lzk/?n=drought.htm
