Hello Everyone, I have had & currently got some sorta flu, been really sick, Feeling better today. Anyway, Great Video post Todd, As everyone knows I put myself out on a limb back several weeks ago, I gave my self credit for the luckey little snow last week. But,I did say Nov.20-30 Someone in Arkasas from the I-40 south or North could see wintry precip with this weeks system, Well, Here's how I see it, I like the GFS on timing with the front, I beleive the Little Rock should wake up to the 60's & time you eat desert could be in the upper 30's to lower 40's & windy, as far as the precip, Well that's were it gets icky, Here are my thoughts on winter precip, As the cold front heads for Northern La & Central Miss, it should slow down a little allowing for the precip to hand around a little longer for Central,East-Central & Southeastern Ark. Someone in a 20-30 mile radius from the Little Rock area could see some wintry weather, sleet, snow or a little ice, I really dont think it will be a big deal at all, warm ground temps & Fridays high should be above freezing. Let's see how it pans out..Hey, Iam on a shakey limb, Boy, I hope it hold up, I have lost a few pounds this weekend that should help lol. Hey, If not will still have the potential for some wild winter storms for Dec. I really beleive some will get hammered by a big winter storm in Dec. We shall see..

Wow, Take a look at what is happening in Kansas, Arctic air has spreaded much further south than forecasted, The models bust big time with arctic air, With alot more cold air & a much bigger push coming with the front for Thanksgiving, This will be a very tricky forecast, This could mean a little more winter precip if moisture is available & also could mean Fridays highs may be much cooler if low clouds develop & hang around..

Hello Everyone, I just wanted to make a few comments about the Dec. Outlook. I did some more research of past climate data as far as the NAO,AO & PNA, I am in know way saying we could have a repeat of Dec. 1989, as most of you know we had record cold around Dec.17-24 of 1989, I have been comparing the NAO,AO,& PNA,before the Dec.1989 event & to be honest some of the current forecasted values of the NAO,AO,& PNA or very similar,In fact as they are forecasted to peak around the end of this month, Some of the values are even more negative than they were in 1989,But, as you know no two years & events are the same. I am just thinking Dec. looks to be cold & stormy, As I stated in my outlook I beleive Dec.-the first of Jan. should be our heavy hitters. We shall see...

SNOWBIRD BOB-

Some interesting posts and I remember Dec 1989, but we only received .3 inches of snow that whole winter. There was some record breaking cold here in Little Rock as far as some daily lows that still stand. Northern La probably got more snow that year, I'm not sure.

I still am going for this winter to be most like the winter of 1962-63 here in Little Rock. We had 4 big Artic outbreaks that winter, but snowfall was below normal.
