Video Blog Discussion

8:30 PM Sunday Update... I will have a full update Monday dealing with the wintry weather possibilities as we go into Thursday.  Right now, I really think this is a north Arkansas snow/ice event with rain elsewhere.  There is a chance it eventually does turn over to some snow before ending across central sections, but it's too early to pinpoint and detail specifics.   There is one thing that concerns me.  If low level arctic air gets involved, the models will underestimate it until the very last minute.  We have seen this time and time again.  This can change a rainy forecast into a wintry one with little notice.  I'm not saying that's going to happen, but with a high pressure funneling in a northeast to east flow, that's something that much be watched.  I'll have more Monday!

I vote YES for more snow because I have only seen a total of less than one inch in Pocahontas. I do feel pretty good we will see our first good snow "4-6" within the next 2-3 weeks. I hope so anyway.

Hello Everyone, Regarding the possible system late this week, I beleive the odd's of seeing winter weather are increasing as of now..What is making me increase my odds is the colder air is looking more likley to dig further south & west "Not just an in & out type situation" This could also turn into a more prolonged type of precip situation..Mainly across Central & Northern Ark That should be the short term battle ground..I also beleive there could be a more of a mix towards Central sections & more of a mainly snow event across Northern Ark..Still plenty of time to watch this evolve..Also in the cards are more chances of winter precip as we head into the end of the month for the entire state..Still thinking Very Cold Arctic Air will invade the US,Including Ark as we head into the Feb.1-15 time frame...The Arctic is turning more Frigid!! by the day..I do think there will be a storm system approaching from the southwest before & during the Arctic Intrusion that could lead to another Major Winter Storm across parts of the South, Including Ark...We Shall See..

Hey, I noticed something interesting and I thought I would share it with you guys!

Twitter interfeering with blog comments:

Twitter has grown so rapidly that blog comments have decreased. At this time last year blog comments were out the roof! We had up to 200 comments at times! But since last year Twitter has grown so rapidly! Everyone is communicating, sharing, and commenting with Todd through Twitter! But it has definately not decreased the blog hits, it had actually increased blog activity!

Anyways, just thought I would share that with you guys!

Thanks, Kaleb Turner
