Halloween Forecast Looking Good!

Wednesday I posted the European model indicating mother nature could have a trick for us.  I didn't buy into it and now I'm glad I didn't.  The models are coming into better agreement.  It's looking dry and cool for the Trick-Or-Treaters.   I think highs will be in the upper 60s to lower 70s with plenty of sunshine.  There will be plenty of dry air in place so that when the sun sets, temperatures will drop off into the 50s rapidly.

Sunset is 6:16 on Halloween

Also, if you're wondering, daylight saving time will end November 6th.  We'll fall back one hour.

The European in the upper levels indicates the area of low pressure aloft is located well northeast of the state.  There was some concern over the past few days that the area of low pressure would be over Arkansas.  Now, this model is agreeing with other models keeping the disturbed weather away.

This is the European model indicating high pressure is in charge of our weather at the surface with cool conditions in our region on Halloween
I found this picture on twitter Thursday morning.  It's the National Weather Service office in Amarillo.  Check out the snow!  The seasons are changing for sure.

Hello Everyone, First flakes of the season could fly late tonight & early tomorrow morning over parts of extreme Northern Arkansas, Nothing Major!..Ok,As we head into next week there looks to be a very dynamic system..That could produce severe weather over parts of the mid-south & Deep South..Doesn't look like alot of cold air behind that system..But,Boy..The changes are coming around mid-month for all of the state of Arkansas..We should see our first real taste of cold weather..I am talking the kind of Cold that would make Dec.Proud!..Record Breaking. No,not going that far..But,as I stated in my 2011/2012 Winter Outlook..Someone could see some mid to late Nov. suprises..There are many Signals I use for my long-range forecasting, & Yes, There are times that I am wrong, But, No one knows accept Mother Nature..I will leave you all with this..Its about to get INTERESTING down here in Arkansas..I would not be suprised to have the first Arkansas Weather live Nov.15-20..Could we have a little Icing with that Turkey..We Shall See??!!
