Mega Model Differences Next Weekend

There's a major difference between the two main computer models we use when looking at what COULD happen next weekend.  The Euro and the GFS differ on the placement of a strong area of low pressure aloft.  Where it ends up will have a huge impact on our weather.

The GFS says it will stay far away over the southwestern United States and the weekend will be quiet, but the Euro says something much different.

I want to remind everyone blog posts like this one are NOT intended as a forecast, but to show you what goes into making a forecast.  At this time, I'm not saying either one of these two solutions will be correct.
