Summer Weather Contest

This year we have TWO contests.  We will once again use "Price Is Right" rules.  Whoever guesses the closest without going over wins!

Send your guesses to weather@katv.com by Sunday night (May 22nd) at 9 PM.

Contest #1
This one is going to be tricky!  Using ONLY the high temperature at the Little Rock airport, guess the total number of degrees from June 1st to August 31st.  For example, if the high temperature was 80 degrees every day, your guess would be 7360 degrees.

Prize package:  One year free subscription to weathertap.com, 4 tickets to the Golden Corral, and a blog t-shirt.

Contest #2
Guess the number of days the high temperature will be 100 degrees or higher at the Little Rock airport from June 1st to August 31st.  Tie breaker question... guess the amount of rain during the same time period at the Little Rock Airport to the nearest hundredth of an inch. (example 15.69'')

Prize package: One free copy of RadarScope for IPhone users, one free copy of RadarScope for mac users,  4 tickets to the Golden Corral and an "Arkansas Weather Blog" t-shirt.

About the prizes...

This year weathertap.com has agreed to a free 1 year subscription to their service.  If you are not familiar with them, I have a link below.  It's a fantastic site loaded with high resolution radar, satellite, tropical information, and now model data.  They are always finding ways to improve their already awesome products and we're very, very happy they're helping us out.

Many of you know I love RadarScope.  They have agreed to give the winner of contest #2 a copy for both the iphone and mac.

We're also throwing in "Arkansas Weather Blog" t-shirts.  The shirts were designed by the "WeatherNinja".

And of course "WeatherNinja" has generously donated 4 Golden Corral tickets.  We all know the Corral is the place we eat LOTS of good food!

RadarScope.  For more information, go to www.basevelocity.com

Check out that awesome blog shirt!  Worn by weathergeeks everywhere!
