Update... Cold Rain Turns Into DECEM-BRRRRRR

Update on the very active weather expected over the next 1-2 weeks.  The coldest air mass of the season so far will grip most of the country including Arkansas later next week.  Before that, significant rainfall will be likely.

One again, this video is loaded with information with the newest model data as of Friday morning.

First, here are a few December extremes from around the state.

Wettest December 23.86'' at El Dorado in 1931
Highest daily snowfall 21'' at Monticello on December 3, 1876
Highest monthly snowfall 28'' at Monticello in 1876
Coldest December temperature -21° at Mammoth Springs and Gravette on Dec. 9, 1917

Little Rock:

Highest temperature 80° on December 3, 2005 and previous years
Coldest temperature -1° on December 23, 1989 and December 24, 1963
Wettest 16.92'' in 1884
Snowiest December 10.3'' in 2012
Most snow in 1 day 9.8'' on December 22, 1963
