Late Summer Soaking
Thanks to Eric Alvarez for the first picture of threatening skies over Conway Tuesday afternoon. Street flooding was observed in Conway on into White county. We had a report out of New Edinburg in Cleveland county of 2.6'' of rain.
The second picture is a chart showing 5 day precipitation amounts with much of Arkansas POSSIBLY receiving 3 inches or more. A plume of moisture will target the state with some of the moisture from Hurricane Henriette in the Pacific getting involved. Bottom line, it's great news, but the flooding we can do without.
Also, there is the possibility of some tropical development off the east coast of the United States today or tomorrow. We are now going into the heart of hurricane season and we STILL have not had a land falling hurricane in the United States since 2005. While we hope this streak continues, it probably won't. Have a great day and stay dry!
