Little Rock Central High 50th Anniversary Weather
12:30 PM Update... amazing. Not a drop of rain at the ceremony at Central High. It's amazing because I'm in western Little Rock and had a very strong downpour while watching it on T.V.
On Sept. 23rd 1957, we had a dry day with a high of 76 degrees and a low of 58. On the 24th, it stayed dry with temperature extremes of 82 / 55. And on the 25th of September 1957, the high was 79 degrees with a low of 57 with no rain. Now for the 50th anniversary, rain is in the forecast. But check out this radar picture from about 8 AM. It shows the bulk of the steady rain EAST of Little Rock moving from south to north. Only light scattered showers are over central Arkansas. Of course this could change over the next two hours, but we're looking better than previously thought...
