Things are going well so far with Preston. Blake is handling the situation well... at times. LOL. I'll be honest, it hasn't been easy. I just wanted to make sure everyone knew the blog is alive and well. Thanks to the Weatherninja for keeping his page updated!!!!! See ya soon.

If you have ever been an expecting parent, you probably visualized in your mind the moments which would lead up to the birth of your child. I have learned with Blake and Preston, it never happens the way you imagine it in your head. Driving home on New Years Eve from work, the call came when I was leaving downtown on I-630, Andria's water broke. I looked at the clock and thought, "either we get a tax deduction or we could have the New Years baby. I then decided to let nature take its course and whatever happens, happens just as long as mom and baby are healthy!
We arrived at Baptist hospital around 11 PM. The staff in labor and delivery are AWESOME! I can't say enough good things about the nurses and how they take care of their patients. Also, Dr. Ashley Deed was incredible. She delivered Blake and Preston and you couldn't ask for a more knowledgeable, caring, and fun doctor! We are lucky!
Andria had to have a c-section and we were ready to go into the operating room just after midnight. At 12:42 AM, Preston George Yakoubian entered this world. After nurses checked around with area hospitals, we found out Preston was the first baby of 2012 in central Arkansas!
We named him after Preston's grandfather who passed away 9 years ago. I wish Blake and Preston could know who their grandfather was. My dad worked tirelessly to give his family the best. His work ethic was unmatched by anyone I have ever known. If it meant working 7 days a week to provide for us, he did it. He left this earth way too early and I only hope I will be able to show my kids the rich reward of hard work and achieving their dreams. If it wasn't for my mom and dad, I would not be where I am today!
Andria was released from the hospital Tuesday. We are getting settled in and helping Blake adjust to the fact, he's got to share attention. He's doing quite well so far! Forgive me if I don't blog, tweet, or facebook much over the next few days. I'm still following the weather to a certain degree (pun intended). I'll be back in full force soon! Thanks for all the prayers over the last few days. They were answered. Enjoy the pictures below.

Congratulations Todd and family! The pictures are sweet and looks like Blake will be a great big bubba as our family name for brother.
Ashley Deed was my OBGYN! She is fantastic!! I am so very happy for you guys and your family is so beautiful. I'm praying that God continues blessing you and Andrea and Blake and Preston :) Happy New Year!!
Todd- Looking at the discussion of the future cold weather thoughts in your twitter bar on this blog. It is interesting to speculate especially since the December of 84 was even milder than this one and a complete turnaround from the Dec of 1983. Then we went from the extremly mild Dec. into the cold January and late January heavy snow into early February with highs in the teens. The low bottomed out in January with -6 at NLR station and -2 at LR location. It shows how the coldest weather can come after the mildest of weather. Wouldn't surprise me to see some incredibly cold and snowy weather later in Jan.
Next WGA... You, me, and a diaper-changing competition. The twins have turned me into a machine when it comes to cleaning up baby bottoms. If they'd only quit sticking their feet in the dirty diaper while I'm changing them...
Many of the weather blogs / discussion are forecasting a significant pattern change developing after the midweek rain event next week. Could be a significant cold snap, but then again it could be just hype to get you into the stores early......
Here's a link to an interesting read about the "possible" pending pattern change that may have evolve over the next couple of weeks. http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/capital-weather-gang/
The article is about the weather in DC but it does explain some of the more interesting aspects of winter weather possibilities.
00z gfs shows a good snow for arkansas......06z says what snow?
As I recall, its been almost twelve years, going from one to two was dramatic. Any more after that is no biggie. After we had two I remember my husband (who originally wanted four) said, "We can't have more? Who would take care of them? I take care of toddler, you take care of baby. That's all we can handled. And then surprise, #3 and then #4. We survived! So far, we are getting into the teenage stage... Scarier! Enjoy, "You're gonna miss this!"
