Spring Turns Severe Again

It has been quiet over the past few weeks as a ridge of high pressure built into the region.

We set the record for the hottest first 2 weeks of May in Little Rock weather history by average high temperatures.

Ding dong, the ridge is gone... well, almost.  A disturbance in Oklahoma will pull into Arkansas this afternoon and tonight with showers and storms.  Some could be strong and maybe severe, but remember, the threat for severe weather  is not all that high.  Even if a thunderstorm is not severe, it is dangerous because it produces lightning.  When the thunder roars, get indoors!

This video goes over timing and threats.
