All Aboard... Siberian Express Is Beginning To Leave The Station. Next Stop... Arkansas

THE ABOVE IS THE 850 MB MAP OR 5000 FEET VALID NEXT SUNDAY. IT SHOWS A POTENT COLD FRONT SOUTH OF ARKANSAS WITH ANOTHER ENTERING THE NORTHERN PLAINS. IT APPEARS THIS MAY BE THE BEGINNING OF A VERY COLD STRETCH OF WEATHER. AT SOME POINT WE MAY NOT GET OUT OF THE 20'S FOR HIGHS AND HAVE LOWS IN THE SINGLE NUMBERS ( THAT MAY BE TOO WARM). SINCE THIS DOESN'T START UNTIL NEXT SUNDAY, IT'S TOO EARLY TO SPECULATE ON TEMPS. DOWN THE ROAD, BUT THAT IS WHAT A PATTERN LIKE THIS CAN PRODUCE. THE MODELS ARE SHOWING A MONSTOR RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE OVER WESTERN CANADA POKING UP INTO THE ARCTIC. AGAIN THIS STARTS SUNDAY WITH A SERIES OF FRONTS.

UNFORTUNETLY THIS COLD MAY OVERWHELM THE PATTERN SO MUCH THAT SNOW CHANCES WILL BE LOW.
