Flooding Rain Here. Cold Coming

SO FAR AS OF EARLY SUNDAY MORNING, LITTLE ROCK IS CLOSING IN ON THE 5'' MARK WITH MORE TO GO. IT NOW APPEARS THE FOCUS FOR THE HEAVIEST RAINFALL WILL BE OVER THE SOUTHEAST HALF OF THE STATE...SEE IMAGE ABOVE.

RAIN MAY CHANGE TO FREEZING RAIN, THEN SLEET OVER THE NORTHWEST, WEST CENTRAL AND SOUTHWEST AREAS OF THE STATE TONIGHT AND MONDAY. AMOUNTS WILL NOT BE SIGNIFICANT, BUT IT DOESN'T TAKE MUCH TO CAUSE PROBLEMS.

END OF THE WEEK MAY GET INTERESTING WITH ANOTHER STORM COMING OUT OF THE SOUTHWEST AND ARCTIC AIR TRYING TO GET INVOLVED. TOO EARLY TO TELL WITH A WIDE RANGE OF MODEL SOLUTIONS, BUT WITH THIS TYPE OF PATTERN AND THE TIME OF THE YEAR WE ARE GOING IN, ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE.
