A Bigger & Better Blog

8 AM Wednesday Update... New post coming soon dealing with the upcoming heat.  Models are still showing several days of 100+ temperatures.  I will have some very interesting info. soon.

It's more than just a weather blog now! Welcome to the newer and improved "Arkansas Weather Blog."  We're going beyond the usual blog posts to give you more in depth analysis of Arkansas weather.

The multi-page blog features a section devoted to "Arkansas Weather Live" which we will start up again this winter.  It's an interactive show all about the weather which is both informative and entertaining.

You will also see computer models not available anywhere else on the web.  A couple maps from our exclusive "Futurecast" model will be featured with more added over the coming weeks.

You can also check out your predictions in the "Summer Contest".  Once it wraps up at the end of September, we'll have a new contest all about winter weather just like last year, but with a twist!

If you're not familiar with the blog and this is the first time you have visited, see what it's all about here.

And of course there's the main blog page.  Just like the past 4 years, I will continue to blog about the upcoming weather events trying to figure out what tricks mother nature has up her sleeve. Filled with images and videos,  it's always very informative and fun.

Along the right margin, you will notice radar animations from our own "5 Live Doppler Radars".  Also, see what some of our regular bloggers are saying on twitter just below the doppler images.

There will be new pages added as the blog continues to grow.  Thanks to everyone for making this such a huge success and I look forward to starting a new chapter with the "Arkansas Weather Blog".

Leave a comment and tell me what you think and what you would like to see added.  You do not have to be a member or sign up to post here.  Thanks for visiting Little Rock's only weather blog!

Wow! The whole new KATV website is outstanding and especially the Weather. Fantastic job but Todd always does a fantastic job. The weather site is easy to read, good clean look, and filled with everything anyone would want. The type is a little small but I'll try to increase the font size.

What I would like to see added to the Weather category: Add live webcams from around the city and other cities if possible. One livecam looking down RiverMarket/Pres.Clinton Ave., and maybe others in West Little Rock and North Little Rock.

Love the new look!

Can I request an RSS feed so that I can get updates in my newsreader? The old blog had one, and it was very useful to be notified when you posted something new.

Great job!

Great job Todd! I love the live radar in motion and twitter. I will have to "beef up" my tweets. Looking forward to a fun fall and winter season. Not looking forward to the extended forecast. Someone with a big number may come out the winner in the contest and it won't be me!
